Message from the President

Greetings!

Christine DavlinMay was a whirlwind, it came and went! A few of us were able to attend ATD ICE in Denver last week, what a great conference! The general sessions were informational and inspiring! The individual sessions were great and speaking from my perspective, always spark new ideas and areas to focus on.

Last month, Rebecca Yost, Coordinator, Faculty Development and Training at FSW gave us a great session on creating a good presentation. She explained how and why it is important to present information that is clear, understandable, and memorable. It provided simple design tips for creating presentations that anyone could use.

Erin Burnheimer, our VP of Membership, and HR Training Coordinator, has a field trip planned! We are breaking from our normal meeting time in June so that we may visit the Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, for "A culture of learning- from on-boarding to leadership." The 2pm to 5pm agenda includes an appetizer buffet, networking, information regarding their onboarding program, panel discussion with members of their executive team, and an overview of their leadership program. All of this will be followed by a tour of the facility and hotel!

We strive to offer programs that meet your needs, and help to develop your skill set. We would appreciate any ideas you have for future presentations. If you are interested in hosting or facilitating a program, please contact Lorna, our VP of Programs at Lkibbey@lkibbey.com.

On behalf of the entire board, we hope to see you in the near future!

Warm regards,

Christine Davlin
