Learning Technologies Showcase and Discussion

November 18, 2015

Join us as we take a field trip to visit Florida SouthWestern State College (Lee Campus). This session will provide an overview of several learning technologies utilized by FSW faculty and instructional designers to develop online and face-to-face courses and professional development programs. The Division of Teaching Innovation, Faculty Development, and Online Learning at FSW will also provide participants with a summary of all applications for future reference.

This session will take place in the AA-building on the FSW Lee Campus in room AA-168. The learning event will also be 30-minutes longer than other sessions to allow time for networking, lunch, and discussion.

Participants will:

  • Discover the features of several applications used to develop courses and workshops:

    • Online Authoring Tools

    • Audio, Video, and Screen Recording

    • Mobile Learning

    • Classroom Technology

  • Engage in discussion about the benefits to using various learning technologies.

  • Explore the new Professional Development and Training Center at FSW.

(Note: This session will introduce the features of various technologies but will not provide training in how to use each application. If there is interest in receiving training in any of the specific technologies, please let us know in your evaluation after the event.)

If you have any questions about this learning event or how to register please contact Christine Davlin, President, ATD Southwest Florida Chapter at cdavlin@leegov.com.
