ICE Melts - After Effects of the ATD ICE Conference

ICE Melts… is the after effects of attending the ATD ICE conference in May.

Not able to attend ICE this year? Join us at our August meeting to learn some of the “nuggets” a few of your fellow chapter members collected this year.  Everyone has a different track of interest, so there is great variety! This will be a fast-paced session, filled with the highlights that this group took away. They will provide tips, take-aways, links, handouts and ideas. The work has already been done to distill the information they heard, so come reap the benefits. There will be time for Q & A.

Here is a sneak peek at what will be covered:

• Highlights from 2 sessions that are good for back to the basics - “Keepin’ It Real: The Power of Personal Authenticity in Training”, and “Lead with a Story”.  Both topics that never grow old.
• “Secrets of Master Virtual Trainers: 5 Keys to Online Classroom Success” introduced five things that virtual trainers do when delivering highly interactive live online classes. This session will provide a snapshot of the 5 keys.
• Discover Cafeteria Learning. Basic concept is it enable participants to choose how they want to learn content without the need of “forcing” them out of their comfort zones. Giving your participants the gift of choice when it comes to their learning is a great way to ensure training transfer and return on investment.
• Explore Collaboration and Respect Continuums. Separate realities can create distance and confusion between parties.  Openly discussing our differences in perceptions and expectations creates clarity and helps us align our behaviors to the needs of others.
